PERSONAL:
Frank Barber graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Paul M. Hebert Law School in May, 1994, and after successfully passing the bar examination, was licensed to practice law in October, 1994. Mr. Barber has handled a vast variety of cases including major personal injury cases (car wrecks and offshore accidents), family (divorce, custody, child support, community property), business litigation (corporate dissolution, shareholders' disputes, derivative actions), estate (probate, successions, last wills and testaments) and general legal advice.

Mr. Barber is admitted to all Louisiana State courts, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern District of Louisiana and Western District of Louisiana, the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Barber was employed by the City of Lafayette as an accountant. Mr. Barber graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in May, 1989, with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting. Mr. Barber worked two years in this field prior to beginning law school in 1991. Mr. Barber's education and experience in business provide much needed expertise in representing clients as a lawyer. An accounting background proves highly useful in navigating complex business, community property, and other cases.

Mr. Barber also has work experience in a vast number of fields including bus driving, radio and electronics, aircraft mechanics, auto mechanics, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, home construction, road construction, and operating heavy machinery. Mr. Barber is also holds licenses from the Federal Aviation Administration and is licensed to fly airplanes and helicopters. Mr. Barber is also a licensed and ordained minister. Mr. Barber can certainly relate to almost every person he represents.
